Harvest Hues

Halloween accessories are sprinkled upon our households, but when November 1st hits, the spiderwebs, skeletons, clowns and bat decor all disappear. With the spooky decor gone, we’re back to basics of the harvest hues. Having the foundation of the harvest tints and colors are a great base for Halloween decor; which is one main reason why I stray away from the Halloween purple and black tones.

Once the goolish day is celebrated, having the easy transition back to Harvest themed decor is perfect passage to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Harvest Hues can start with base colors:

  • Apple Cider
  • Arizona
  • Satchel
  • Fire Orange
  • Lion’s Mane
  • Caramel Toffee
  • Mississippi River
  • Cutrus Zing
  • Peach Glow
  • Walnut
  • Ripe Pear

You’re probably reading these colors halfway in, saying “Tiffany, what colors are these?” These colors are from the BHG Paint Color Collection, which are commonly used throughout Pinterest, and other home and style sites. Just the sound of “Arizona,” already reminds of deep spicy oranges. I love it!

Fall season decorating is all about making your space cozy yet modern and sophisticated. Obviously, we all have different styles for our homes, my style is bohemian farmhouse, but you may be Hollywood Glam, or Scandinavian, or Shabby Chic. But having the base fall color hues for your home unites the seasonal theme to any interior style.

From bold patterns to soft neutrals, glossy metallics and using matte color, fall decor colors are across the board, gives you lots of options to make your space your own. Some like to experiment with colors, patterns and my favorite — textures. If you prefer a space that’s a little more toned down, there’s something for everyone using harvest hues.

Take for instance, my dining area. I don’t host Thanksgiving, nor even use my dining table as a dine-in table. It’s currently being used as a work desk for my husband, and myself. I don’t have a Pinteresting centerpiece, but I do style my buffet table which is located right next to the dining table. By adding a pop of burnt or spicy oranges against wood is one of favorite harvest trends.

Also, using greenery helps bring in the outdoor feels into the home. I just just using the classic faux fall garlands, and some DollarTree foliage around the home.

What are your easy harvest themed trends? Do you put away your Halloween decor, and start from scratch for Thanksgiving? Or is it an easy transition? Let me know! Comment below!

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time on self-improvement basically so I can be more like you. You’re really good at living life. I’ve watched you grow since we were 15 years old, and every obstacle, milestone, and curveball life has struck towards you, you’ve managed to overcome it. You’re really good at living life that just isn’t vacationing, and spending money on the coolest electronics. You’re good at living the daily grind. The fixed routine, a custom lifestyle – and for that I’m grateful.

Jaeden

My 8 year old, and first born. A spitting image of his dad. I see so much of me in you, but more of daddy.  I encourage you to work hard, make mistakes, and then achieve success. I am the lucky one who watched you persevere to crawl, walk, read, and make friends. You are so naturally athletic. You come for challenge, and can make a game out of anything. You make me grateful for life, and look at it as fun playground.

Tristan

My little boyfriend. He just turned 5. I love him more than life. Someday Tristan, you will become a very lucky girls Prince Charming. As much as I want that girl to be perfect for you, I want you to be prepared for her. Just know that I Iove you now, forever and always. And know that someday I will love her too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you my fellow readers. I am thankful for you. I create content in a reflection of parts of my life and interests, can inspire. From the stay at home mom, a woman looking to get healthy and happy, or maybe a mother looking for her creative outlet. I made this blog in no way to proclaim a Pinterest perfect life. That’s not what I have, nor claim to be about.

Tiffany’s Tidings is an outlet for me, to be on the internet, besides platforms like IG, SnapFish, Twitter, and Facebook. It all boils down to being real, and happy. No filters, no special effects, no collaborations to make myself better.

This is me, and my family I am thankful for. My number #1 subscribers.
