October | 90 Day Challenge

October is here, and along with all the fabulous fall festive posts, I’d like to add on to the list! From autumn accessories, frugal fall decor, to curated cozy home decor, I’ve got the posts for you! If you like creating your own style, from thrift store buys, clearance finds, and also secondhand chic items, this is the place to be!

I’ve put all my seasonal posts all into one page of my blog! As we enter October, its a mixture of Halloween galore to Thanksgiving! Don’t get to overwhelmed yet mama! To be honest, I’m just taking it one day at a time! This year, I told myself, “What’s the rush?!” Why do people overly consume themselves to push all Halloween decor our within the first few days of October?! We have all month!!! That’s just me!

Apart from accessorizing the home, I’ve also composed a page of kids crafts and DIY Festive Fun! Don’t miss out mama!! There’s enough time throughout the month of October to celebrate Halloween! I mean, it is on the the last day of the month! And it’s only the 1st!! 30 more day’s until Halloween! No rush, enjoy the month, because we all know the holidays come hitting us real hard, and then if you’re like me, you crumble with stress with family drama, and juggling schedules.

Which brings me to my #90DayChallenge.

How many times have you given up on yourself?

How many times have you started and stopped? How many times have you broken a promise to yourself? How many times have your friends, or your partner or your children watched you walk away from your goals?

This last quarter of the year, I plan to crush it. Literally crush it. Being the best me (wife, mother, friend, co-worker, employee, etc..) I’m going to commit to change over the next 90 days. There is no, “New Years Resolution,” because to be honest with yourself, that does not work!

There is no more long list of reasons, to push these goals off. Kill it for the rest of 2017, so you’ll set up for success come 2018. Come follow along with my #90DayChallenge on my Insta-Stories!!

Easy Seasonal Stationary

In my last post, I shared a cute abstract wintery Christmas tree craft. If you haven’t checked it out yet please do! I’ve also linked them down below, so be sure to check it out! Towards the end of the post, I had some extra winter tree’s, and ended up gluing them on envelopes I plan to send out this month. And with that very idea I came up with, “Season With Style.” This is the theme I’ll go for this month of December.

Season with style, will be a theme of using any extra remnants of holiday supplies (from gift tags, ribbon, gift wrap, Amazon boxes) craft projects, and so forth. Think of it as a challenge, but make it fun! This is something I’ll try to do and practice all month, and share with you each project I end up “upcycling” or creating.

Recapping back to my last festive craft, I had extra Christmas trees from the art project, and managed to repurpose it, taking it further and creating something new, and beyond on what I had expected to make.

This Season with style theme, will hopefully become a practice I can, or we all can continue entering the new year. 2017, we all want to be better, more create, and well, basically feed the soul. Let’s not be wasteful, and get creative.

Elevate to the next level…And make art!

Santa Mail From God Mother

2015 was a year of welcoming new family, saying goodbye to loved ones, joining families, and welcoming new members to the family. This past year I was selected as a God Mother to multiple couples in my life. My cousin & his wife selected me to be the God Mother for their daughter welcomed in April, and my closest friend and God Sister of my own, and chosen me to be a God Mother of her son, born in May. I’ve never felt to loved in a way to have such responsibility to have a special role in another child’s life (other than my own children). In Bible definition, it’s about helping a child to come to know God, and encouraging them in their spiritual life and supporting them in their membership of the local church.
Now, I don’t want to get all religious, nor do I have any fire power to throw down the facts of what to do, or what not to do, or what to believe in. To be honest, I believe faith and religion is a personal thing. You choose what you want to believe in, and as an adult, I’m in this hybrid area of, believing a lot of things, and not just committed to one religion. Ok. So……How do I play an active role of being a God Mother without stepping too much into faith?

I send them gifts of love, meaning, and joy.

&

I spend time with them and their families.

During the holiday season it is definitely a time of giving. But what people don’t have enough time to give? Friends and family expect quality time spent with one another, but when one extended family wants you here, and the other extended family wants you there (the same day), you feel a little overworked, and the sense of love and quality time is lost. This year, l’ve expressed my love to my selected God Children. I was blessed to be selected as their God Mother, but as a mother myself, with busy, crazy, holiday schedules, it’s nearly impossible to take my God Son to the near by Christmas Light parade, or hold my God Daughter’s had at Church during a winter mass.

I’ve created a Special Delivery Santa package perfect for my God Children. It expressed the love I have for them, although I am away, and do want to spend time with them. It carries special keepsakes, and sentiments of the last year, to be forever cherished and displayed on their family Christmas tree forever and as a tradition I plan to continue this joyous action of giving with my little God Children.

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time on self-improvement basically so I can be more like you. You’re really good at living life. I’ve watched you grow since we were 15 years old, and every obstacle, milestone, and curveball life has struck towards you, you’ve managed to overcome it. You’re really good at living life that just isn’t vacationing, and spending money on the coolest electronics. You’re good at living the daily grind. The fixed routine, a custom lifestyle – and for that I’m grateful.

Jaeden

My 8 year old, and first born. A spitting image of his dad. I see so much of me in you, but more of daddy.  I encourage you to work hard, make mistakes, and then achieve success. I am the lucky one who watched you persevere to crawl, walk, read, and make friends. You are so naturally athletic. You come for challenge, and can make a game out of anything. You make me grateful for life, and look at it as fun playground.

Tristan

My little boyfriend. He just turned 5. I love him more than life. Someday Tristan, you will become a very lucky girls Prince Charming. As much as I want that girl to be perfect for you, I want you to be prepared for her. Just know that I Iove you now, forever and always. And know that someday I will love her too.

Happy Thanksgiving to you my fellow readers. I am thankful for you. I create content in a reflection of parts of my life and interests, can inspire. From the stay at home mom, a woman looking to get healthy and happy, or maybe a mother looking for her creative outlet. I made this blog in no way to proclaim a Pinterest perfect life. That’s not what I have, nor claim to be about.

Tiffany’s Tidings is an outlet for me, to be on the internet, besides platforms like IG, SnapFish, Twitter, and Facebook. It all boils down to being real, and happy. No filters, no special effects, no collaborations to make myself better.

This is me, and my family I am thankful for. My number #1 subscribers.
