To Cute To Scare

As a budget friendly shopper, I love shopping for festive holiday decor AFTER the storm has passed. Come November 1st, I’m ALL OVER Halloween Decor at Target, RiteAid, WalMart, CVS, and other retailers like a fat girl eating cake! 50%-70% off items is a steal! You can get so lucky as to finding bags of candy for $0.40!! Yes girl, yes!!

So last year, I was able able to score a bag of Spider Webs for nearly $0.10! I had no idea how to style with it, but after seeing it be used around the neighborhood on front porches, I thought I could give it a shot, wioth only spending $0.10. What was I going to loose?!

After playing around with the intimidating Halloween pantyhose like decor, I was finally getting used to the friendliness the spider webs were. The cotton, stretch like fabric stretches, and has no pattern for you to follow.

I began stretching it over picture frames around the house, and adding fun decorative spiders. Now, if you’ve been following some of my IG posts, my youngest son get’s really freaked out with spiders. But after his older brother and I spoke to him about how fun it will be to decorate the home for Halloween, he opened up to the idea.

With just a few supplies, such as scissors, and pairing the spiderweb with other Halloween pieces, this project will become so peaceful and tranquil, you’ll honestly loose track of time styling your spooky home!

I simply took scissors and snipped small pieces of the web and stretched it, literally over everything in my home. It totally gave a boost of the Halloween spirit in my home, without really doing much, or buying much.

Have you decorated with spider webs before? It’s honestly, really addicting.

Teddy Graham Hearts

Valentine’s is coming up, and while my kids are in the middle of basketball playoffs, martial arts, and are invited to birthday parties over the weekend, this mama has no time to do some extreme time consuming craft, or bake-good treat. Although, the creative juices in me want to, I have to be real with myself with the time I have.

So after a quick search on my pal Pinterest, I stumbled upon this cute Teddy Bear Graham Cookies Conversation Heart treat.

What You’ll Need:

  • Teddy Grahams (Honey flavored, or any of your favorite)
  • Conversation Heart Candies
  • Decorating Icing

Using ready made teddy bear cookies and conversation hearts makes this diy treat so easy to make, I could just make my kindergartener do it all. Seriously, no extra work for us working moms!!

Directions (it’s pretty simple):

  1. Add frosting/icing to the belly of each Teddy Graham and stick the conversation heart.
  2. You’re done! (Set to dry)

They are so cute!! With low effort too!!! Pack these cute adorable teddy’s in your childs lunch, or use them as a cupcake topper! I’ll probably make them as a cute Valentine’s Fay favor if time allows.

What’s your favorite Valentine’s treat?!
