Kids love doing a variety of arts and crafts as an outlet to be creative and have some fun! Little do they know that it is so good for their development as well!
Bilateral Coordination– Crafts such as coloring, drawing, cutting, all require your child to use both of their hands together. This skill is important in other areas of their lives as they continue to grow, such as writing, tying shoes, typing and so much more!
Fine Motor Coordination– In order to draw shapes, cut patterns, and hand writing, your child is required to use their fine motor coordination. These skills similarly translate to other areas of their lives, such as dressing ,eating, and in the academic setting.
Bonding and fun-Your kids will love spending time with you and creating something together! I’m not sure who enjoys it more, myself or my kids most times. Just kidding, I’ve been crafting with my kids since they were little. Everyday, they ask to do a craft. Call me crazy, but I literally TRY to plan a craft for them every week. Not every craft I do makes it to my blog.

I actually mentioned her on Pt. 1, but wanted to feature her again, because she has the cutest holiday crafts on her blog!
I’m super loving all these crafts right now!!! I’m currently saving them for Winter Break, once the boy’s get off school, and our schedules open up! I can’t wait to start crafting!! Having elementary school aged kids is just another level! I’m definietly in a point of a parenting lifestyle transition as my kids are older, have their own school/ extra curricular activities schedules. I miss the day’s of just staying home, and crafting all day.
Oh where did time go?!
Anyone else going through a transitional time of the kids growing up and their schedule’s take over your life? Anyone? Comment below!
……Until the next blog post.
And happy crafting!!!!!
